COMMITTEE ON THE PEACEFUL USES OF OUTER SPACE (CRISIS SIMULATION)

The Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space is the UN entity responsible for the regulation of space activities by designing space laws and policies. Space technologies are crucial to fulfill the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development as conflict monitoring, enforcement of legislation or access to reliable information (SDGs 16: “Peace, justice and strong institutions”), but also for smart mobility, where the most reliable technology is satellite-based (SDGs 9: “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure).
